The magnet in this thing is awfully weak. If you hit the part too hard, the corner rib will simply fall off (e.g. when installing grilles on spiral pipe). I installed it on a table which I know has a 1 degree angle and it tells me the table angle is 26 degrees. . .Or you measure the same part multiple times in the same place and get +/- 5 degrees error in both directions. The only thing I found that worked was toss it in the trash and order a Huepar.
