This is the BEST die cutting and embossing machine I have ever used! I wish I had found this car before I bought all these other cars. I have a big bump Sizzix and Sizzix is piling up. Both do a good job. Once you figure out what type of sandwich you need. With this machine you don't have to worry! They have 2 dials on the opposite side of the handle. Stamping, embossing and 3D embossing are selectable. The other allows you to add more pressure (press and turn the dial towards the back of the machine) or less pressure (press and turn towards the front of the machine) if needed for the best results. Paper onto the GRAY, rubbery CUTTING MAT, then place the MAIN plate (thick, hard plastic) over the FORBIDDEN side of the stamp. Now you can flip this "sandwich" in any direction. Cut the mat from below or the bottom panel from below. I have used both methods. I think I get more pressure on my die when the base plate is down. Make up your own mind. Also, make sure to flip the gray cutting mat every time you use it, and put your death in a different position each time. This will definitely help prevent the carpet from warping. I've been using mine for over a month now, the mat is showing signs but in terms of deformation there is no sign! My punches cut very well and cleanly the first time. Except for a few cheaper matrices, I have them, but after 2-3 passes they also cut cleanly! Some don't cut cleanly after 5-6 passes in my Sizzix. I'm tired of finding her a sandwich. I almost threw them away! I'm glad I didn't! Now I can use them! If you are considering this car, you should have it!
