I bought both a heating bulb and 2 bulbs. They are all phenomenal and very durable. The lamp itself has a very strong grip, which was my main concern as I didn't want it to fall into my tank. It also rotates easily and holds its place. The bulb is heavy and of good quality. I have a 50 gallon tank and 1 lamp/bulb heats all 1 side of the tank perfectly. I haven't left it on long enough to test its limits, I only use it to control the temp for my hermit crabs and turn it off at around 75-80. FYI, the heat bulb gets the metal shade really hot, which I should have realized, but I was just super excited to assemble it and burned my fingers a bit trying to flip it over.
