Review on YITIXI 5PCS Lighter Non-Evaporating Gasket … (Black) by Sheila Smith

Does NOT prevent liquid from evaporating - SAVE YOUR MONEY

I thought this might prevent some liquid from spilling out of the wadding onto the bottom of the case. It's likely that a rubber gasket will hold liquid better than anything but fibers. I tested this by comparing 2 of my lighters with a seal and one without a seal. As any Zippo user knows, if you fill your lighter from about 58.4g to about 61.3g (max fill about 3ml) with butane, it will historically last about 2 weeks, plus or minus a few days. When I added these pads, SURPRISE - butane lighter fluid evaporated in about 2 weeks. I could tell absolutely no difference to the seal. If necessary, try this experiment yourself, but consider my experience and save your money. The liquid evaporates from the top of the lighter and through the gaps between the Zippo cap and the body, which is not airtight. Probably the best solution if you want to maximize liquid retention and avoid evaporation you can try duct tape sealing your zip cap and then wrapping it in a very tight rubber or ziplock bag. Also, I would suggest buying a THUNDERBIRD insert instead - it will keep your liquid sealed for months. TL; DR - DO NOT BUY THIS.
