Overall I like the design of this little hub (about the size of a credit card). It feels solid, is well made and looks good. I've tried this hub on two different computers I have - a Dell Precision 5520 and a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme (Gen2). The HDMI and USB ports on the hub worked as expected - plugged into my Dell ultra wide monitor (3440 x 1440, 60Hz) with no issues, hooked up a mouse button to the hub and then a portable hard drive and it all worked fine - with both PCs. However, I haven't been able to get USB C PD Power Passthrough to work on a PC. I've tried MANY USB-C hubs over the past 6 months to find one that will work with these laptops. The Thinkpad seems particularly picky about charging via these types of hubs. For this test, I used a 90W USB-C charger. The Dell PC never detects a charge, while the Thinkpad ONCE indicated that a low power charger was connected, but after that first notification it didn't charge at all. The ONLY hubs/docks I've had good luck with have been Thunderbolt docks (obviously a much more expensive option). Haven't found a USB-C hub that charges them, especially Thinkpads. I haven't tried the same thing with Dell hubs and regular USB-C hubs. The only other negative comment I can add is that the port count is a bit limited. I would like to see at least one more USB 3 Type A port on this hub. One edge of the hub is completely empty - and I'd love to see another USB 3A port (or even 2), but I'm guessing Revain is trying to keep the cost of the hub down (or there's not enough space on the Circuit board). inside for additional ports). I originally ordered this product for my wife's new Dell XPS 15 (which only offered USB-C ports) but we had to return this computer because it kept freezing. It was then replaced with another PC that actually had enough Type-A and HDMI ports that I will only use it with my Thinkpad when I need an extra Type-A USB port (it only has one Type A connector and two). TB/USB-C ports). That's why I gave this hub 4 stars because it does most of what it says on the tin. I'm subtracting 1/2 stars for the limited port selection and another 1/2 stars for the USB C PD issue (transfer not working). I think this is partly caused by the PCs I own as they are pretty powerful devices but I would expect slow loading to work on them. (The same 90W USB-C charger works great as a Thinkpad slow charger, and I plug it into my laptop 95% of the time I'm using it).
