I took this glass to replace the regular 18-55 VR, on the D3000 camera, as I put it, I donβ the focus is not fast but it does not slow down either :) In my opinion, Has pros: 1 hence: short shutter speeds and "bokeh" The percentage of lenses with back focus is much less than, say, 50mm 1.4G AF-S, Sharp, you can shoot constantly from 1.8, but HA are of course significant (sometimes the lens hood helps, but I note - sometimes)), less noticeable with f 2.8 High resolution glass, peaking at f4 say, such serious lenses: Nikkor AF-S 85mm 1.8G, AF 85mm 1.4D, and is slightly inferior to AF-S 85mm 1.4G ( 5 small and light. Got cons: Practically not, just that, without exception, the focus ring has a little play on the focus ring, but this is forgivable, given the price and high optical characteristics.
