The 12 gauge Monoprice wire selection sent by Gmartglobal was made 3 years ago according to the wire spool label. The wire's coating was milky, and the wire inside didn't quite look like copper. The wire's coating was not shiny but hazy, and when the wire was bent it seemed to separate from the coating inside. The wire was also twisted unevenly inside the mantle and there were several swellings in it. I don't know if it was due to the age of the cable or how it was stored by the reseller, but first of all it's either really bad quality or doesn't hold up well.
