New Ham Techs should get this

Ideal for new Ham Tech licensees. "Perfect is the enemy of good enough." This is perfect for a new ham to check antenna and cable installation; especially SWR. Maximum accuracy at the frequencies specified in the instructions. This is not a laboratory device, but for SWR it is accurate enough in all ranges for all practical purposes. I don't think it's good to measure power above 5W. Don't even think about using the supplied dummy load over 5W because you have to smoke it and do short tests because it gets very hot. I connected my HT and base station to a professional dummy load using a professional SWR meter for comparisons, so I concluded it was good enough. Pros: price, built-in battery, included adapter (SMA), accuracy, perfection. to test your mobile installation. Cons: You need additional adapters for PL259, SO239. I recommend using pigtail adapter cables as I believe the connectors on the device cannot handle real voltage.73 WB4KTH
