I would not recommend this product at all. Right after you plugged it in and turned it on, mine fogged up for about a minute. But when I first connected it, I didn't understand that after that it stopped working and started gurgling water from the hose. So the surface it stood on, in my case my home office desktop, is now ruined because the water has stood too long, warping and splitting the wood. So thanks for ruining my $300 table.
