Review on πŸ”Œ ANNMETER AN-38B: Pen Type Multimeter for Electrical Testing - AC/DC Voltage 600V, Resistance 20M Ohm, Autoranging Diode Test, Continuity Reader by Jacob Leon

Even the late AndrΓ© the Giant would not refer to it as a "hilt ". look elsewhere

This meter has been criticized for being "cheap". But it was sold cheap so I expect it to be cheap and I have no real problem with it. We all know it's not Fluke, HP etc. But it has also been marketed as a "pen style" and failed miserably. I've had pen style gauges in the past. It's the size of one of those giant multifunction remote controls from the 1980s. The pen-type meter, which has one of the probes built into the meter, is quite workable, but too large for the form factor and very awkward to use. So plus a star for being sold as cheap and actually cheaply made. , but minus four stars because it's marketed as a pen and is actually too big and clunky for everyday use. Note to the manufacturer: Requiring registration in order to receive a warranty is actually illegal. See Magnuson-Moss Guarantee Act.

Pros
  • Integrated test lead input
Cons
  • Small change
