The collar stays on the cat!
quality material. A cat used to have a tear-off collar that broke off whenever it itchd. He's a bigger cat so it wasn't hard for him to knock him down. That being said I know that with an 11lb breakout force he'll be safe if caught but the collar stays in place and won't be knocked off for everyday use. However, it's too big for our six-month-old kitty as she can't break it on the smallest setting, so it's best for adult cats. The adjustable tear strength is great and easy to use!
