If you're not willing to make some relatively simple adjustments to the inside of the sealant, this may not be for you. The ends of the heating element are attached to thin, springy brass strips at each end of the sealant. Separate the sealant. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the bottom cover and use small pliers to bend both brass strips until the small tabs on the attachment reach the ends of the new heating element. Install a new element and Teflon strip, reinstall the under cover and check the sealant. If the Teflon strip is too wide, trim it with scissors. Ed B
