My betta loves it. He loved to swim in it and often settled down for the night. But every two to three weeks I take the jewelry out when I do a water change to make sure all the edges are even and the fins aren't snagging on anything. One day I noticed that the decoration was getting a little weird between the little grooves, so I decided to rinse it off with hot water and let it air dry. These are very thin hollow tubes that do not dry out inside when they are still connected to the base. If you live in an extremely dry climate they might dry out, but not likely. I ended up cutting the tubes and laying them out to dry, but even then it took 2-3 days depending on the length of the tube. I can easily reassemble it and put it back in the tank, but that would be something that would completely change my business. Just think of all the bacteria that can breed there and you'll never know!
