Review on ๐ŸŒ€ AC Infinity AXIAL LS1238, Silent Muffin Fan, 120V AC 120mm x 38mm Low Speed, UL-Certified for DIY Cooling Ventilation Exhaust Projects by Adam Cummings

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lots of air, more noise than expected

Fan looks very high quality. I was surprised at the weight of the package. It turns out that the frame is metal and not plastic like most computer cupcake fans. The cable was a bit difficult to install. The pins did not fit perfectly with the fitting. Position it so you can see the pins and socket at the same time and you shouldn't have too much trouble aligning it. Don't expect them to slide smoothly. It could be a "low speed" fan, but of course that's relative. It moves a lot of air. Turning the air inside a fairly large hardware closet would be enough. "Quietโ€ is also a relative term. Standing a foot away on a table makes more noise than the overly loud fan it was meant to replace. I ordered an AC Infinity speed controller and am hoping that this will turn the fan off so it's inaudible in a quiet room.

Pros
  • Good marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • old
