Let's face it, if you're about to buy this device you're already immersed in the Tormek sharpening system, just like me. Stop complaining about money. Having said that, I would like to say that this platform is incredibly well built. The metal is thick and durable, will not bend or sag. Like everything else I've bought for my Tormek. Did everyone else get a fun little packet of patches when you bought your kit? I quickly realized that it was a starter pack. The blades on my DeWalt plane are double edged and easily cut fingers on either side. The factory edge of these blades has never been anywhere near as high as it is today. Have fun and order cut resistant gloves.
