Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Hitachi ETB0003 Fuel Injection Throttle with Gasket/O-Ring - Reliable Performance and Complete Package by Tony Suggs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to replace

My 2003 Nissan Altima didn't accelerate when I pressed the gas pedal BUT THE ENGINE ran. The car did not reset the codes. The problem was with breaks. Research has shown that Altima's CVT transmission issues cause the same problem, but it's an 03 model, so not a CVT. CVT started in 2006 for Altima. The throttle was the only thing that made sense since the engine was running. Most of the time it picked up revs and drove normally, but sometimes it accelerated very slowly or not at all. The mechanic couldn't find the problem as it didn't come back when he had the car and didn't give any codes. I took a chance and ordered this throttle body and it seemed to make a difference and solved the problem. It's very easy to change it. The electrical connection can be tricky, but push it from front to back and remove it. There is a tab on the back of the connector that you need to press to slide it. The hex size is 5mm for the 4 bolts that attach the throttle body. This Hitachi throttle body is exactly the same as the original. Both are stamped by Hitachi. The only difference is that Nissan has a stamp on the original too. I just peeled off the old part, took it off and put the new one on. I did not disconnect the battery to restart the computer. My car didn't need a relearn procedure to idle properly at 700rpm. Maybe it's because it's the same as the original, or I left the battery clip plugged in. I'm assuming the third party will need a retraining process. The part works great and the car runs well with 210,000 miles. I don't usually post reviews, but I was having trouble finding a solution to a problem online. It seemed like a common problem, but nobody could fix bad transmissions for the CVT model. Hope this helps someone. Many Thanks
