Great CD/DVD Drive for CD and DVD Drives

This is a great little machine. such a device. The device appears to be identical to those still found on some laptops. I'm too old to admit that such a miniature device can have many advantages in terms of durability or extreme performance. But given the expected amount of use, it's probably enough. Compatibility? I've never logged into an Apple computer and have been able to avoid it on a Windoze computer. But all I had to do with my Linux workstation was plug it in (more on that below). It was recognized immediately and works perfectly. The blockade is very strong. I managed to throw it to the ground [ It fell with a thud, the charger opening cracked. Throw it away, my years of experience recommended it. Not true, said reality. He survived the accident and works as if nothing happened. The only downside is the weird USB connection; This is a SHORT USB cable. Why does the manufacturer need this? The cable is permanently attached. It's more expensive than just an outlet and annoying to say the least. On my computer, the only place you can place the device is on the top of the case next to the switches and two USB ports. Unfortunately, the rest of the top of the computer is an air intake that cools the CPU. By mounting the actuator on an air filter, the air consumption is halved. An alternative is a USB extension cable. It costs at least half as much as the drive itself. I solved (?) the problem by putting the drive on extended legs. Hopefully this will keep your expensive computer from overheating. Otherwise this is a good device.
