stretch spell! ALWAYS THE BEST!

I don't think black is as strong as clear but it's pretty good. Much better than others I've tried. I OOPS with this order and got 0.8mm instead of 1mm, but I can use double strand on some beads which is even stronger. I will gain another 1mm in a few weeks. I just love this stuff! I have bracelets from 20 years ago that I made with 0.5mm black Stretch Magic and they still hold up but are slightly stretched. But everything I've done with the 1mm transparent cord is still perfect after 20 years. I only had one breakage due to a sharp edge around the hole on one bead. I found the guilty bead and replaced it when I re-stringed it, and I still wear it 19 years later. I wear six or eight rubber bands on both wrists at the same time. This means I often have to tug on one of the six or seven other bracelets, and none of them have stretched except for the ones with holes that are slightly smaller than the size of the cord I used. The beads should be able to slide along the string. If the holes are too small, there will be gaps and the bracelets will sag. However, with other brands, this happens regardless of whether the beads fit on the cord or not. I NEVER need glue to secure the knot with Stretch Magic. I can tie a knot by pulling it as tight as I can without breaking it in three or four good pulls. Once installed it will not come loose if you do it right. You need to tie a knot at each end next to the last beads, then tie a knot on both cords before adding guru beads or a bead to keep them closed. If you have a good large hole folding bead needle, you can thread double the gauge of this cord through a bead for a locking bead. If it's too thick, thread it through one side and use a beading needle to pull it through the other. Then just tie a large knot with both cords together and that's all you need. Remember to pull until the knot unties itself. If it's too small, tie another one after the first. If you still don't feel it's reliable enough, Gorilla Glue produces a clear glue that dries to the elasticity of clear silicone. It works great and it's invisible. But it's runny and messy if you use too much. Apply it with a toothpick or wooden skewer after placing it on a flat plastic surface, e.g. B. on the cap of a vitamin bottle, have slightly compressed. Leave the bracelet in a place where no one will disturb it for 24 hours and place a piece of cellophane underneath to catch any drips. When it dries, you can remove what you haven't used from the bottle cap and throw it away. Yes! This glue takes 24 hours to dry but is the best glue for rubber bands. Superglue can damage the cord and make it brittle. Then it doesn't work either. But if you're tying good, strong knots, you don't need any glue at all.

Pros
  • This cord can be knotted or used with crimp beads
Cons
  • Very expensive
