Definitely more power but like most air intakes there are downsides. Absolutely CANNOT wash the car now as it will immediately suck up water. It may seem yes, but I thought I'd mention it because I thought I could get away with it since it's so high, but no. Even without tuning there are no problems with the control unit. You should get a tune, but it will work fine as long as you tweak or tweak, and you'll still see a performance boost despite what the know-it-alls on the forums say. In winter I have an AEM dry filter and in summer I use it without. Seems to help in really muddy times. Overall a good product but thought I'd mention the above to keep you informed. Perfect fit for my 06 SI and it was the first mod I made. Now we've added a High Flow Berks cat and a Yonaka cat that seem to complement each other well. While we talk, have the tuner and a friend work on a custom tune for me. These parts are VERY economical and work well together which is why I've included them here to help you get a nice but very sensible setup. Check them all!
