This device is dangerous! We had two versions of Waring blenders with the same defect! The first few weeks of use were great! This blender was a powerhouse! And then one day he turned himself on! I looked at the switch and it was off so I unplugged it, plugged it into a different outlet and immediately back to high speed. I usually think it was an accident, but we've experienced this twice with the MX 1500 number pad! So I doubt it's an on/off switch as the numeric keypad version also has the same problem! This time he burned my finger putting it in and I'm pissed as hell because Waring won't talk to me. All they did was ask me to fill out a form and mail it to them along with the device! They will check it and if it is under warranty they will let me know and send a new one. This device is new and dangerous out of the box! But Waring doesn't seem to care! Oh my god, poor Fred Waring is turning in his grave right now!
