First impressions speak volumes

ammonia test strips: First of all, the tube that these things come in is too small to pull out a test strip with your fingers. You either have to use the tweezers or throw them away halfway to pick one up. Even then, you'll probably still have about 5 or 6 strips in your hands. Then it's almost impossible to put them back in because the pads don't snag each other. There is also a huge bag of silicone. slaughtered there. I usually keep them there because they absorb moisture, but in this case I had to throw them out because I can't push them back in. Then you have the pads themselves. They fall off. I bought them, they were cheap and for cycling new tanks so I have an idea of when the cycle starts. Needless to say, judging by the quality of the strips, I'm not overly impressed. I don't know how accurate they are yet, but judging by their poor workmanship I'm not expecting much. *** Well, here is the update. about how well these strips work. They don't. I recently did a water change and then tested the water with my API test kit and found a small amount of ammonia in my tank. It's okay, but it's nice to know things like that. So, knowing that I have a small amount of ammonia in my aquarium, I took the opportunity to test these strips. I used about 4 or 5 strips and none of them changed color. So no, these strips do not work. And yes, the pad fell into my aquarium. Very pretty. They're cheap because they don't work. save your money Buy real brands. Stay away from this shit. And her other strips suck too. More of the same. The pads float away and the colors change little, if at all. Just buy something else. It's a waste.
