These buffing pads did a great job with what I needed to buff to a mirror finish. I also use Blue Magic 400 Metal Polishing Cream for buffing and it works great too. Using a coin gauge made from a 1 1/2" x 6" 3/4" piece of plywood with a quarter coin slot drilled to a quarter gauge (I used a Forstner quarter coin bit , which fits almost snugly.) I then dropped the polishing pad onto a low speed drill, placed the coin in the holder, applied a very small amount of polishing compound to the quarter and in less than 1 minute the coin was polished to a mirror finish and polished was only a 25 cent quarter you use daily a 3/4 turn loosens the pad from the holder to replace the pad as you can see in the picture tarnishing a coin is usually bad. Hope this helps. Wear disposable gloves, safety goggles and some sort of protective shield in your work area. The polish will throw out a bit.
