Silicone broom for sweeping dog hair - the bomb!

This multi handle broom comes with several aluminum handles screwed together to create a nice length broom intended for use on wooden floors or other types of floors. interior bottom. Sounds great, like the broom everyone needs to sweep up dog hair. Bad Dogs! lol. However, it's not exactly designed for that, at least not for a 6ft 2in man. The good thing about this broom with silicone bristles is that the silicone doesn't pick up the dog hair, it just pushes it to where you want the lint to start, for later collection in the brush and tray. It's a great broom for that. BUT, there is a HUGE caveat to note. When I start pushing the broom, at least on my hardwood floor, the broom doesn't move like a broom with a head made out of other materials you can think of, from natural fibers to man-made ones. The silicone, with its rubbery texture, flexes toward the floor and refuses to budge when pressed. No matter how much pressure I put on the broom handle, i.e. the broom head, it simply refuses to move. I really thought the silicone would move easily over wood = like planks and work just as well as my battery powered sweeper - picking up dog hair. Not so! I need to pick up the broom head off the ground and start pushing it higher than the ground. Maybe it was the floorboards that kept the broom from sliding across the floor just as I was about to push it, but I can't swear to it. My regular broom sweeps the dog hair better with my sweeping motion, but leaves some of the dog hair stuck in the broom bristles. That should be the highlight of this broom - the hair does not get caught on the bristles. With that feature gone, the broom is useless to me and probably will be useless to those who think like me. Too bad the manufacturers didn't take into account the height of everyone who will be using the broom and fixed the broom head with an adjustable angle to fit everyone using the broom. I'm sure it would have cost more money to make and buy, but if it worked I think a lot of people would pay the paltry few dollars it costs. I don't recommend it until the issue is resolved.
