There were no mounting holes on the back. They need to be taken apart to drill holes to match the existing holes on my boat. I saw that right out of the box. The small threaded insert on the back and where the wires run need their own holes, in part because they stick out about a quarter of an inch. This is not a problem for mechanics. If you want an easy replacement, you'd be better off looking elsewhere. UPDATE: The green light went out when I first put the boat on the water. Worked for about 2 minutes. I changed to one star. Candles are pure garbage. I installed them carefully and being very careful with very thin wires, soldered them on and used heat shrink clips. I am very disappointed in these lamps. They were bright enough until one stopped working after I needed them. They don't change lightbulbs. These are 6 LEDs on the board. Don't buy this.
