Lightweight Portable Stand

This bike stand is great because it's so light that it's easy to pack when traveling. It comes in a carry/storage bag which is pretty easy to carry for short distances. I like that the base of the stand is adjustable. In that regard, you can control the height a bit by simply adjusting the base. If you need more stability, you can install a wide base and then you have no chance of tipping over. The main stand is adjustable and can be easily adjusted to the desired height with the adjustable handle. You need to make sure you don't over tighten the handles as they are mostly plastic and can be torn off. The tension knobs are the only weak point of this device. The clamp can be adjusted to sit straight or slightly tilted depending on how you want to hold the bike. I found it took a little while to get it exactly where I wanted it, but then it matched perfectly with the way my bikes sit when I'm working on it. Since I'll be leaving mine in the garage all the time and using it as a bike rack it's not a big deal, but if you're storing it while not in use you might want to consider tagging it. on a stand to facilitate placement in the desired position. Overall this is a really good lightweight bike rack that will travel well. There are a few bits of plastic in the clamps that you don't need to over-tighten, but other than that it's a really nice, well-designed unit.
