Review on Yokohama Ice Guard IG55 205/60 R16 96T winter by Edyta Iwanowska ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not exactly what I wanted, but basically everything is fine.

Departure on it for 2 seasons and, in general, the feeling is twofold. Rubber, durable, solid - this is both a plus and a minus. You can not be afraid to jump on the curb or scribble stones, lose spikes, etc. - this is a plus. The downside is that it is noisy, it does not keep spots on any snow, it falls through and burrows. On clean pavement, the braking distance is short, but there are much better tires for braking, in general, 3+. The situation with ice is exactly the opposite, going somewhere on smooth ice, such as a lake, the sensations will be as if you are on skates. Even in sharp turns, the car does not carry, almost the same as driving on wet pavement. Everyone who leaves reviews here about how she rides in the snow, I advise you to try the Pirelli Winter, which will work exactly the opposite of this rubber. She rushes through the snow, useless on ice, spikes for one season, and a side line for 2.

Pros
  • Spikes do not really fly out, all winter without snow and everything was ok. Perhaps the only plus.
Cons
  • loose snow or snow porridge. Summer would go better.
