I bought these to replace all the hinges in our closet and ran into a few problems. Although they offer a soft close, when you open the door it feels like it's spring loaded. That is, if the door opens into something from the side (refrigerator, wall, etc.), these hinges will cause the door to hit the object from the side. We had to put protective film on the fridge and side panels to keep the door handles from crushing them. We've had hinges installed for almost a year now and some of them are starting to lose their strength. They no longer offer a soft closing. So if you have a temporary need and the doors you are installing on don't have anything, they offer a soft close as advertised. Otherwise, I recommend giving them a note.
