I bought my Bose Soundlink 2 about a year ago and was completely disappointed. I really wanted a mini but Revain had an $80 Soundlink 2 so I gave it a go. At first I liked the Bose, but found the mids and lows to be lacking. So I saw Revain buy her back with an exchange for $40. I thought why not and looked at every column on the Black Friday deal. I installed car stereos in high school and always used Monster brand cables. So I decided to give this speaker a try, especially since I wanted a cylindrical design. Basically, I am very satisfied with the speaker. It transmits medium and high frequencies perfectly. The bass isn't bad, rather weak (but perfectly adequate for a 16-watt speaker). I love the battery life, the size and design are great. The ability to skip a song from the speaker is a big plus (Bose didn't offer that). The big downside is that the speaker takes about 30 seconds to turn on and pair with your phone (not that big of a deal, but my last 3 BT speakers worked almost instantly). That being said I highly recommend the speaker, just need to make sure I can connect 2 phones to it at the same time as my wife uses it when I'm out of town (and I don't have to connect my phones back and forth all the time). Overall, for the price, I'll rate this a 3.5 out of 5. EDIT 12/14/20: I ended up returning this speaker. Every time I turned it on, it roared at full volume. So I'm back for the Tribit Stormbox. I won't lie, the Tribit just takes this speaker out of the water. Maybe I'm picky or this speaker doesn't fit my needs, but it might work for you.
