We have been using this device for 3 years and are satisfied with its performance. It charges our 2.12v deep cycle AGM batteries from 10v in the morning to 12.6 and sometimes 13v+ in about 4-5 hours a day depending on sun exposure. There is no problem with rain on the controller as it is under the panels and protected. Our Airstream is a 2014 model with LED lighting, but a heater fan and water pump are used a lot so you could run out of batteries in a few days if you're not careful. This blockade keeps us on our toes. It comes with clamp connectors for immediate use on battery terminals. The cables also have a quick disconnect feature and a direct connect cable for connecting to the battery terminals is included so you can plug it in instead of opening the compartment and clamping the terminals each time. This simplifies setup. The cover protects the panels and we keep them in an airflow when traveling or storing under the dining table. We also use a security system attached to the camper frame to deter camper theft. I would suggest either this 80w device or the larger 120w device for even faster charging.
