I ordered these to replace another brand of hiking shoes that were giving me severe heel pain when walking on a treadmill. I typically walk 9-11 miles (4 workouts per week) each week at moderate elevation and the other shoe caused severe pain while walking, which then continued after my daytime workouts. I wore ASICS shoes a few years ago so I decided to give them another try. I immediately noticed more support on the inside of the heel as opposed to the shoes I was wearing. My heel pain, which was fairly constant and carried over between workouts, went away after two or three runs on the treadmill. The shoes are surprisingly light and the fit is perfect. Highly recommended.
