My CIA Vitamix/5200 was making a lot more NOISE and seemed to be skidding! I called Vitamix, but the girl on the line just wanted to sell me a new cup. Had that but still noisy and just didn't work properly. Decided to watch some YOUTUBE movies and found the outlet needed replacing. It was EASY and my Vitamix is like NEW! It's a bit tricky to insert the socket tool, but just be patient. I also found the gasket to be easy to remove and clean underneath. In fact, you'll need one of these in your toolbox just in case!
