----------- This is an updated review. ---------------- I recently installed one of these stereos in my boat center console. This time I paired it with a pair of 150W 6-1/2" Pyle speakers in the front and a pair of 300W 8" Kenwood speakers in the rear. I can only say WOW! With these speakers, this stereo system is amazing! Deep, amazing bass, clear mids and crisp highs. I attribute most of the sound quality to the Kenwood speakers, but that's only because the head unit is delivering the power. This setup rivals the 1000w stereo in my big boat sonically. I'm really amazed. ---------------------------------- Installed this on a 21ft deck boat I'm looking to sell. I saw the 300W power rating and found it excessive, especially when I saw the device. It looked flimsy and cheap, as the $39 price tag suggested. But I installed it anyway, tethered to (4) two 150w 6-1/2-inch coaxial speakers. The setup was a standard DIN cage - it fitted easily into an existing hole. It took 10 minutes. Since it's not too deep, it will likely fit where others cannot. When I turned on the radio and tuned into a station, I was surprised. Clean, crisp and solid bass. switched on and it got louder and louder. The thing really knocked! I was amazed and turned it on to see how loud it would sound and it got louder than I could stomach. Had my wife come out of the house to see what was going on. Lots of sound when you are on the water with wind and engine noise. THE BEAUTY! I turned on my phone's bluetooth, connected them together and BOOM, now I'm listening to music. I have to say I can't comment on durability but it worked great for the days I had it before I sold the boat. The new owner loved the stereo, it played throughout the test drive. I'm sure it helped sell the boat. Worth the investment!
