Like many baby boomers, I grew up on a single speed bike with fenders, switchbacks and of course a bell. Fast forward to the early 20's and 30's and it was all about spandex and speed. And without a call. God forbid. I recently went back to my roots and bought a classic English bike, the commitment to miles is what I choose, not a 'century' every week.
