I recently got into macaron making. It’s been a challenge and I think one of my biggest struggles is getting them to be a uniform size. These silicone mats have really helped and are far better than having to print templates. I bake all my sugar cookies on silicone mats and find that in general, it offers a better quality product and prevents the bottoms from getting too dark. These have given my macarons a more even look as they bake.Learning to make macarons is a huge task but adding the right tools (like these mats) can really help. Also finding a good recipe is key! If you’re considering taking this on as a project, I suggest trying Cupcake Jemmas macaron recipe, a fellow baker recommended this to me and it has given the best results so far.I ended up going with this set of 3 vs the sets of 2 that I found on here because my recipe will fill 3 trays. I didn’t want to be waiting around for the two trays to bake then have to pipe my third tray so this has helped keep things moving by piping them all at once. I do not put these in the dishwasher, I simply wipe or hand wash with warm soapy water, allow to air dry, then roll up and store until next time.These were the best value that I found available on here and would purchase them again if I decide to start producing macarons in a larger quantity
