I love popcorn. Airy, cooked on the stove, even in the microwave if necessary, but my favorite is cinema popcorn. I don't go to the movies to sit next to strangers and cough and chat, but because I get the best popcorn there. Then I discovered that Disney World sells it and you can buy a reusable bucket for $10 and fill it forever with delicious cinema-style popcorn for $1.50. We live in central Florida and have passports so say goodbye to the theaters because now I can enjoy Disney almost every week! Then came Covid-19 and months went by with no end in sight to my craving for crispy, salty, delicious cinema popcorn. Pooh! So I started thinking there must be something I can do about it. Thank goodness for Revane! After a little research, my dilemma was solved, the crisis averted and now I can sit at home and fatten myself up with cinema popcorn to my heart's content! Check out my other reviews of future keto bars and shakes I'll be living on once I have popcorn! Ha! Seriously, I've been looking for the best system for perfect results and cinema-style popcorn flavor. I already have 2 Air Poppers that I really like, but that's a completely different result. I looked at different types of poppers and settled on this one because it looked like good quality, being stainless steel and heavier than aluminum. I don't like burnt popcorn. This popper is heavy, durable and cooks popcorn perfectly without burning. It's super easy to clean, just wipe with a cloth after use (and cool) and you're good to go. It has 3 spots on the lid where it snaps securely onto the pot which is fantastic because once the popcorn is ready you can grab the pot by the wooden handle without pot holders and with a loose valve at the top you can pour freshly hot popcorn in give a bowl. The top also has 4 small vents that face the center of the pot to keep steam and small droplets of oil escaping to the outside to a minimum and not splash onto the stove top or the person popping. The top also has all the metal gears and a stirring mechanism at the bottom of the pot to stir the popcorn as it pops so you don't burn it. This works great for moving popcorn around. I made popcorn 3 times in 2 days and each time almost all the kernels popped and they didn't burn at all. So here's my perfect popcorn recipe that tastes even better than movie theater popcorn. Better due to the quality of real popcorn with no skin to stick to your teeth and in my case probably a little more oil than normal as I don't have a pump to add extra oil after I'm done so it's all popcorn - but trust You me, it's the perfect amount! I'm not saying it won't kill you in the end, but if you have to go, death by greasy, carb-laden popcorn is my choice! In any case. 3 art. l. Butter Flavored Coconut Oil – I purchased Golden Barrel's Butter Flavored Coconut Oil ($9.97/Amazon), 1/2 tsp $0.99/Revain). Turn up the heat, add butter, salt and popcorn. When it starts to pop, slowly turn the crank to agitate the popcorn and when the popcorn slows down until a few more pop, remove and continue stirring for about 20-30 seconds to ensure you get as many pops as possible. then carefully pour into a bowl and enjoy. 1/4 cup popcorn is the perfect amount for 2 people (or just enough for me). The pot boils 1/2 cup at a time and the instructions tell you to brew it along with 3 tablespoons of oil. I made this for the first time and it was a lot of popcorn! Good for a family of 4 (but yeah I ate everything but it took about an hour and a half lol). Next time I decided to halve the amount of popcorn but left 3 Tbsp butter and it's the perfect combo. Good luck everyone!
