Used with a 65lb Chesapeake Bay Retriever with a very thick coat. We live next to the veterinary office. Dogs walk past our fence 10 hours a day, 6 days a week. He went from an almost constant bark to a barely audible squeak. The main thing is to understand how the collar works. Wait for the green light to turn on. Make sure the dots are snug and not blocked by fur. Do your best not to let your dog know the collar is shocking. Put the collar on when they're outside (make sure it's off when not in use) and take it off when barking is okay. Batteries drain quickly when you try to use it 24/7. My only improvement is a snap collar instead of a buckle. The struggle of holding down a 65 pound furry monster for 30 seconds to bend is real.
