Review on Blitzu Waterproof Headlamp Light Camouflage by Charley Prz

Pros: Nice and bright, the modes work. It has been used about 10 times but is stabilizing. My strap is starting to wear a little where it goes through the light hitting my forehead. The whistle is useless and barely makes a sound. The blinking battery level LED flashes too frequently and is very annoying and seems to have a mind of its own. I've used mine about 15 times in a temperature range of 85 to 43 degrees Fahrenheit. I use fresh Duracell ProCell batteries and he eats them like Godzilla! *** UPDATE: It works quite well up to about 40 degrees and then it starts to work. As an experienced electronics engineer I'm pretty sure the IC/chip is shrinking from the cold which is causing the problem. I considered returning it to Blitzu for a replacement, but they are in BC. I have to pay for international shipping and wait who knows how long I'll get a new one as it has to go through customs both ways. *** I bought a LuxoLite Super Bright CREE Head Lamp / Flashlight LED Headlamp. It is MUCH BRIGHTER and has a MUCH BETTER color temperature. I took it on 4 hikes in temperatures ranging from 30 to 23 degrees and it worked PERFECTLY every time! DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY!
