I don't write many reviews but I really like this DVD/CD drive and thought I'd share my thoughts. This can help someone in their purchasing decision. I have previously purchased from this manufacturer and have had no problems with their products. So when I needed an external CD/DVD player to pair with my iMac, I bought from them again. Visually, this disc player looks really good and has a great non-slip rubber ring on the underside of the base. It's very well built, light alloy, has a very slim profile with an overall aesthetically pleasing design that suits my taste. It comes in its own protective carry case. case and included a USB adapter plug, which was a very useful surprise. More importantly, having been using the drive for a few weeks now, it's doing its job well... Another big plus for me is the fact that the device draws its power directly from the computer's USB port; no external power supply required! I listened to my entire classic CD collection while I worked, and watched DVD movies and instructional videos through the DVD Player app on my Mac. I burned some data onto a blank DVD last night and that worked too I have no experience with a Windows PC but in "Mac" terminology it's a Superdrive. I am very satisfied with my purchase of the NOLYTH external DVD/CD drive.
