Rigid mount, no plastic parts (except gaskets included). Someone asked if it rotates 360°. Yes, but in 90˚ increments. D rather not. In general I like it. My only gripe is that while it had two disc sizes, it didn't have a flat rubber insert for the larger handlebar. The clamp fits my stem but is too big to use any of the spacers that come with it. An extra thin spacer between the clamp and the handlebars would be nice. Luckily I have some left over from another product I found.
