Review on πŸ”€ StarTech.com SV231DVIUA: Dual Link DVI KVM Switch with Hot-key, Audio Support, and 1920x1200 Resolution by Travis Vasquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost done but the main function doesn't work

Updated 10 5. I was able to get it working by plugging a keyboard and mouse into regular USB ports. For a KVM of this price you would expect better performance. As it stands I'm increasing it from 1 star to 3 because it's serviceable, you just lose all the extra features. When it works it works great, unfortunately it doesn't always work. Sometimes when I'm typing, the keys repeat randomly, as if a key got stuck. This only happens when the keyboard is connected to the switch, so I know the keyboard isn't the problem. The video and KVM controls work great, but part of my job requires me to log into many computers with a fairly long/strong password every day. Three wrong attempts will lock my account and I'll have to call support to unlock it, which will result in a work stoppage, so I can't afford to cross my fingers and hope the switch works as intended. While this is my only complaint, it stops the show for me. I have reported the issue to StarTech and if I get a fix I will update this review.
