Ideal for adding a 5 channel amplifier (where compatible) using the factory head unit's high level inputs, rather than adding a line out converter to a bundle of low level RCA cables. Using a wire harness adapter, I soldered two sets of this 9-wire speaker wire; first from the head unit output to the high input of the amplifier and then from the speaker output of the amplifier back to the factory speaker harness which was disconnected. This worked well with my Toyota Tacoma 2021's stock audio upgrade. It only took 10 feet of 9-wire speaker wire through the center console under the driver's seat.
