Narrow in the toe (not in width but in height). This works well if you're wearing athletic shoes, but you might not like them with street shoes. This gives you a sporty connection to the pedal. I've been using rat traps for ages and they seem pretty standard, if a little tight. I put them on my townsman and think I might swap them out for a looser set from another bike. They are excellent for sport riding.
