The toe is narrow but generally good

Narrow in the toe (not in width but in height). This works well if you're wearing athletic shoes, but you might not like them with street shoes. This gives you a sporty connection to the pedal. I've been using rat traps for ages and they seem pretty standard, if a little tight. I put them on my townsman and think I might swap them out for a looser set from another bike. They are excellent for sport riding.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Without instructions

Only suitable for small shoes.

Size was not specified when buying. I should have thought about it. I wear size 12 men's shoes. the product is good. but too small at the toe to fully fit the foot. They fit a size 9 or smaller in the front. They are too small in the toe area and my smallest hiking shoes (not thick sports shoes) do not fit. Proper cycling shoes would probably fit. I recommend this ONLY for shoes that are medium size 9 or smaller or shoes with a very narrow pinched toe.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Too bad they didn't have instructions

The straps themselves seem to be of excellent quality. No instructions were included so I spent some time figuring out the best way to attach them to my pedals. The second time one of the pedals fell off after loosening the screw. The harness survived the fall and as it was a recreational outing I was able to stop and put it back on. This could be because I attached it incorrectly, so I'll have to experiment with attachment in different ways. Still, it's a good deal and makes for a much more…

Improved Spin Control

I ride my bike 4-5 times a week and have been using toe clips for ten years. One of my Touklips finally broke. I found these Leadrise finger clips at Revain. They were pretty easy to install and worked a lot better than my old ones. Most likely my old ones have loosened over time. These toe clips hold my cycling shoes very well and give me good control when pedaling on a mountain bike. I have no problem taking my feet off the clamp when it's time to stop and put my foot down. I am very happy…

Difficult to fit into size 10 1/2 shoes.

After a road bike accident and a couple of broken ribs from not being able to get the right shoes out of the jam fast enough, I made the decision as I'm 72 years old and have been riding in the Training, I should get some clips and straps. Along with getting married, this purchase is considered one of the biggest mistakes of my life. As someone else pointed out, the toe box is tight and the right strap won't be tight. Before anyone says I didn't install it correctly, it installed the same as…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Great toe clips, best pedals and boots

I used them during triathlon prep before I switched to clipless pedals. They worked great on my mountain bike, then I installed them on my friend's road bike. They seem solid and I've never had a problem with breaking anything. The grip was great when I used them with tennis shoes. They're a little close to the toe. Not in width (women's size 8.5), but in height. I'm sure I could open them up a little more if I wanted to. Oh, I ended up getting my own racing bike with clipless pedals. I think…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost never

Thumbs up! on the pedals

They'll take some getting used to if you've never used clip-on clips. However, once you've set it up and run it a few times, you're done. I've been using them for about a week and haven't had any problems with them. I climb some pretty steep hills and they stay in place. Pros: Affordable, Comfortable, Durable, Easy to Install. Cons: I had to take one reflector per pedal to install them. My reflector doesn't fit or doesn't fit in the front hole (below where the screw goes). I don't know if…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Slightly torn

These clips didn't fit my pedals; However, I recommended them to a friend of mine who used them on our 7 day bike trip. We've carried over 50 pounds of weight on roads, trails and grass in dry, wet, muddy, rainy and flooded conditions, and these pedals changed everything. In any difficult terrain, pedaling allows you to use extra muscles to give rest to the main pedaling muscles. At critical moments, you can use the pedals to accelerate to avoid people or obstacles, or to catch up after slowing
