Review on Fascinations ICONX Saint Basil's Cathedral Metal Model Kit by Phillip Jaylon

I'm new to the world of modeling but this was definitely the most difficult/useful thing I've ever done. Pros: This model has an incredible amount of detail. I especially liked the tiny porches and stairs. The finished product is beautiful, easily recognizable, and fairly durable. The instructions are easy to follow. It is very helpful to complete it. Cons: THESE TOWERS. There are nine of them - a huge one in the middle, four medium ones and four small ones - and each of them has several segments that overlap before being placed in the base. It takes forever to assemble, which is fine, but matching each segment to the one below is quite difficult, and I ended up breaking off a lot of small pieces while completing this step. The hardest part was inserting the nine completed towers into the base because there are too many ledges. The five large towers are octagons with a tongue at the bottom of each of the eight sides, and it's almost impossible to get them right into the base without giving up and clipping/bending a few. They could easily be attached to the base with half as many protrusions. My fingers were cut after this step. But the number of tabs on the towers is my only real gripe!
