Good cutting boards, no frills

These are just great cutting boards. I'm a college student who's only been cooking for a few months so I can't look at them in terms of hygiene or shelf life. The boards are still intact and the manufacturer says they can be cleaned by simply washing them in the dishwasher. It's comfortable and good enough for me. Despite my lack of experience in the kitchen, I can shed some light on the physical design decisions. First the good: ----- These boards are definitely oversized. The curves make them difficult to measure, but even the smallest board is larger than a 1-gallon carton of milk. ----- All three boards are double-sided. On one side there is a large chute for succulent products; the other is flat for easy scraping of food into the pot or pan. ----- The large rubber rim at the ends of the board keeps it from slipping, but the cutting surface sits flush with the tabletop and won't sag when heavy objects are placed on it. The way it was done is very difficult to describe in text, but I've attached a photo. This makes the board very durable for cutting, but if you want a board that rises above the countertop then this isn't the board for you. ----- The curved top and bottom of the board serve a functional purpose. : Boards slide in and out of vertical cabinets without the rubber ends rubbing against the cabinet bottom. ----- The boards are definitely thick and dishwasher safe. I can't bend them unless I use excessive force. They fit the bottom rack of my dishwasher with the heating element exposed without warping or discoloring. In my experience, boards have a negative aspect. These boards are advertised as having a "handy grip" but they are not. There are two reasons for this: First, the hole for the handle is just too small. My knuckles scrape a hole in the largest board. Second, the smaller boards are just smaller versions of the larger boards, meaning the grips are smaller too. I can't even get my knuckles through the smallest board let alone a comfortable grip. I always take boards the way I hold a tray. For this reason, my rating is only 4 instead of 5 stars: A larger pen or no pen at all would be better. unsuitable for use. I am not going to speculate on how durable this product is or how long it will last. If this review has not been updated, rest assured that the product has worked for me since the day I posted this review.
