Well firstly judging by the pictures I assumed the blender to be metal. I know I shouldn't base myself on the picture, but I was so excited to get a blender with attachments like KitchenAid. Well, it has attachments, oddly even a blender. I already have a blender so I wouldn't use this particular attachment. I love having a meat grinder to make custom hamburger mixes and a pasta maker is a nice addition. I personally think the blender is over the top and looks weird as hell. Maybe they wanted to create a whole range of devices in one for people on a budget or maybe with limited space? I really do not know it. What I do know and what annoys me is that they obviously used some sort of montage on the images to make them look like metal. I showed it to a few people and everyone thought it was metal from the pictures. They were also very confused about the difference between what they showed and what I got. I don't think that's a very cool thing. As for the features, they seem to work well enough that you could lose the blender as it doesn't help the looks at all. If it were actually a metal body I'd rate it higher, not because it hurts performance, at least not yet, but because I felt like the photos misled me. No one likes the feeling of someone pulling it all over themselves, and that's exactly what I felt.
