Review on Honeywell HRF AP1 Universal Replacement Pre Filter by Chris Rob

Not very impressed with this filter. Honeywell takes a one-size-fits-all approach to their pre-filters that just doesn't work. I found myself measuring, tracing, cutting, cursing, cutting and finally sticking pieces of filter into empty spaces to make it work before cursing some more. There is always a lot of rubbish that gets thrown away. Coal dust is a problem. The template that comes with the pre-filter is practically useless. And while the filter does a good job of catching dog hair and lint, it doesn't seem to work as well as advertised against odors. It also appears to be thinner than the one that came with the original air purifier for some reason. Next time I'll look elsewhere for the pre-filter.
