I grew up in the 60's and 70's when scientists and engineers used "slide rules" for basic calculations. There were no calculators. Although this product can be finely worked, it is not what was then commonly known as a "slide rule". That's a brake caliper. Maybe good, I don't know. I didn't buy it and I don't intend to. The photos show that this is not a "slide rule". I feel sorry for the reviewer who claimed to have forgotten how to work with this. It doesn't work like a slide rule because it's a vernier caliper. Slide rule marketing borders on fraud for us seniors. It can't be, because the definition of a slide rule is probably not defined by law.
