Review on πŸš— 12-Foot Clear U-Shaped Car Door Edge Guard Trim for Enhanced Protection by David Sharma

Easy to fit into the door guard

My husband and I have a two car garage but recently I noticed a few dents on his door. Apparently, as he got out of the car, his heavy SUV door slammed into the side panel of my sleek Honda, leaving dimples in it that I didn't want. Asking him to be more careful probably won't be very effective, especially if he's returned home from a tiring long commute to work. So I did the following. I bought this car door edge molding. The channel in the finish is narrow, but I warmed it up by putting it in the garage at 90 degrees for a few minutes. Then I carefully threw it over the edge of the door. It took a while to make sure the edge of the door was properly seated in the channel. When I was done I cut the cord to the right length. The pants were a bit greasy (due to car dirt) but other than that it was an easy job. There were no instructions, but installation was easy enough. The car door closed tightly, no problem. I only regret two: second, I had to measure before buying, because 12 feet is enough for our two cars, and then for some. My first regret is that I didn't buy it sooner.
