Try it before you need it and consistent advice

I have borrowed or rented Bostitch roofing tools in the past. I have quite a few roofing projects on my list for this year so I decided to buy my own. I chose the RN46-1, the price was good and I knew how it worked. (I thought) It came in 2 days, I wasn't ready to use it yet so other than opening the box and seeing it was in place. I'm ready to start my first project this week and I had the compressor going so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, it didn't work, just a slight hiss of air and nothing. I ordered a replacement and the new one arrived Sunday afternoon, just in time for a small leak. This pistol has a contact tip, you hold the trigger and pull it to the surface and it fires, you have to use the impact motion, I have to work on my technique. I have to demolish a 7350 sqm apartment. ft. I will practice a lot. I think the pistols I've used in the past have had a consistent tip, hold the tip in the work and squeeze and she shoots a nail. If you attempt that with this weapon, it will fire twice.

  • Decent performance
